About BTS

BTS is a seven-member group formed by Big Hit Entertainment, now part of HYBE, consisting of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. They debuted on June 13, 2013 with the single album "2 Cool 4 Skool" and built a global following known as ARMY, one of the most active fandoms in music. After early work rooted in hip-hop, the group moved through the "Love Yourself" and "Map of the Soul" eras that carried them to international stardom. "Love Yourself: Tear" became the first K-pop album to top the US Billboard 200 in 2018, and the 2020 single "Dynamite" gave them their first number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making them the first all-South Korean act to reach the top of that chart. BTS have earned multiple Grammy nominations, addressed the United Nations, and broken numerous sales and streaming records. The members have pursued solo projects and completed mandatory military service, periods during which group activity has paused. BTS remain one of the defining acts of K-pop's global expansion and a benchmark against which other groups are measured.
