Jin, whose given name is Kim Seok-jin, is a South Korean singer and the oldest member of BTS, with whom he debuted in 2013. Known for a warm vocal tone and his presence within the group's vocal line, he released his first solo single "The Astronaut," co-written with Coldplay, in 2022 before beginning mandatory military service. After his discharge in 2024, he returned with his debut solo album "Happy," which featured collaborations with international artists, and followed it in 2025 with a second album, "Echo," built around a live-band sound. Jin was the first BTS member to complete military service and to resume solo activity afterward, and he took part in the Paris 2024 Olympic torch relay.
