Moonbyul is a South Korean rapper, singer, and songwriter under RBW, best known as the main rapper of the girl group Mamamoo and a member of its sub-unit Mamamoo+. Born Moon Byul-yi, she debuted with Mamamoo in 2018 alongside Solar, Wheein, and Hwasa, taking on the group's primary rap lines and contributing songwriting across their discography. She launched her solo career in May 2018 with the digital single "Selfish," followed by the EP "Dark Side of the Moon" in February 2020 and "6equence" in January 2022. In February 2024 she released her first full-length album, "Starlit of Muse," a twelve-track project drawing on hip-hop, R&B, and pop. An active writer, she holds songwriting credits on more than one hundred registered songs with the Korea Music Copyright Association. Within Mamamoo she is known for blending rap with vocal performance, and her solo work has let her explore a wider range of styles than her role in the group.
