About Yves

Yves is a South Korean singer who first rose to prominence as a member of the girl group LOONA, introduced in 2017 during the group's pre-debut rollout. After LOONA's activities wound down, she signed with Paix Per Mille and made her solo debut on May 29, 2024 with the EP "Loop," repositioning herself with an alternative, art-pop-leaning sound distinct from her earlier idol image. She has continued releasing solo material across subsequent EPs, working as both a performer and a writer on her records, and citing influences from contemporary art-pop. Her solo era has drawn attention for its sonic experimentation and willingness to depart from mainstream K-pop conventions, and she has performed solo concerts including dates in the United States. Within LOONA she was associated with the sub-unit yyxy, and her solo work has consciously moved toward a moodier, more electronic and alternative palette. As a fourth-generation artist, Yves represents a wave of former group members reintroducing themselves as independent solo acts with a more personally directed creative voice, and her catalog has been received as one of the more critically curious solo turns from the LOONA roster.
