About Yoona

Yoona, born Lim Yoon-ah, is a South Korean singer and actress under SM Entertainment, best known as a member of the girl group Girls' Generation, which debuted in August 2007 and became one of South Korea's most widely known girl groups. Within the group she is a lead dancer, the visual, and the center, and she is also part of the sub-unit Oh!GG. She has released solo music, with her first Korean solo EP, "A Walk to Remember," arriving in 2019. Alongside her music she has built a prominent acting career, with her breakthrough drama "You Are My Destiny" in 2008 earning her a Best New Actress award, followed by roles in series such as "The K2," "Big Mouth," and "King the Land." Widely recognized as one of K-pop's most successful idol-actresses, Yoona has balanced her singing and screen work across a long career while remaining a core member of Girls' Generation.
