About WINNER

Winner are a South Korean boy group formed by YG Entertainment through the 2013 survival show WIN: Who Is Next. The group debuted on August 17, 2014 with the studio album "2014 S/S," whose single "Empty" reached number one on Korea's digital chart. The members are Kang Seung-yoon (Yoon), Kim Jin-woo (Jinu), Song Min-ho (Mino), and Lee Seung-hoon (Hoony), following the 2016 departure of original member Nam Tae-hyun. Known for a self-produced, pop-driven sound, Winner scored major hits with the breezy singles "Really Really" and "Everyday," both of which performed strongly on Korean charts. Several members built parallel careers: Mino became an established solo rapper and competition-show figure, while Seung-yoon also released solo music. As a third-generation group, Winner are recognized for their songwriting involvement and for a lighter, melodic style that contrasted with many of their label peers' edgier output. The group also released the subunit project MOBB, pairing Mino with iKON's Bobby, and maintained a steady catalog of self-written singles across their run before members fulfilled mandatory military service obligations.
