About UAU

UAU are the first sub-unit of the South Korean girl group Dreamcatcher, formed by Dreamcatcher Company in 2025 with members JiU, SuA, and Yoohyeon. The trio debuted on May 28, 2025 with the EP "Playlist #You Are You," which carried two title tracks, "2 Months" and "Attitude." The name UAU takes a syllable from each member's name and reads as a homonym for the phrase "You Are You," pointing to a theme of comfort and self-discovery that sets the sub-unit apart from Dreamcatcher's signature rock-driven sound. Drawing on the vocal strengths the three carry from the main group, UAU lean toward a warmer, more pop-forward direction. As Dreamcatcher's first official sub-unit, UAU give three of its vocalists a separate space to explore softer material while the full group continues its own activities, extending the act's catalog into a new lane.
