About Dreamcatcher

Dreamcatcher are a South Korean girl group formed by Dreamcatcher Company, debuting in their current form on January 13, 2017 with the single album "Nightmare" and its lead single "Chase Me." The group consists of seven members: JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyeon. Several members had previously debuted in 2014 as the five-piece group MINX before re-debuting under the new name and a darker concept with two added members. Dreamcatcher distinguished themselves with a rock and metal-influenced sound rare among K-pop girl groups, and "Chase Me" earned recognition on Billboard's year-end critics and best-new-acts lists in 2017. The group developed a horror-tinged storyline across releases such as "Fly High," "You and I," "Scream," and "BOCA," and built a strong international fanbase through extensive touring across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Their blend of guitar-driven instrumentation with idol-pop structure gave them a sound rarely heard among their peers. As a third-generation act, Dreamcatcher became widely regarded as a leading example of rock-driven concept in mainstream K-pop, with a fanbase known as InSomnia following the group through its album campaigns and world tours.
