Tiffany Young, born Stephanie Young Hwang in California, is an American singer and a member of Girls' Generation, the SM Entertainment group that debuted in 2007 and became one of the most successful acts in K-pop. After Girls' Generation marked its tenth anniversary in 2017, she chose not to renew her SM contract and relocated to the United States to pursue a solo career under the name Tiffany Young. She released her American solo debut single "Over My Skin" in June 2018, a self-co-written English-language dance-pop track, signing with Transparent Arts. Her work as a soloist has included the EP Lips on Lips and a string of English-language singles, presenting a more independent, self-directed artistic identity than her group output. She has remained connected to Girls' Generation, taking part in the group's reunion activities while continuing to build a separate career as an English-language pop artist.
