CLC, short for CrystaL Clear, were a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment. They debuted on March 19, 2015 with the EP First Love as a five-member act featuring Seunghee, Yujin, Seungyeon, Sorn, and Yeeun. Two more members, Elkie and Eunbin, joined with the EP Refresh in February 2016, expanding the group to seven. Over their career CLC explored a range of concepts, shifting toward a sharper, more assertive sound on later releases such as "Hobgoblin" and "No," the latter co-created by (G)I-DLE's Jeon Soyeon. Sorn, from Thailand, was among the group's most internationally recognized members. After a long period of inactivity, Cube Entertainment announced in May 2022 that the group's official activities had concluded. CLC are remembered as a third-generation group whose later releases helped popularize the assertive girl-crush concept in K-pop.
