About Jeon Soyeon

Jeon Soyeon is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer signed to Cube Entertainment, best known as the leader, main rapper, and general producer of the girl group (G)I-DLE. She made her solo debut on November 5, 2017 with the single "Jelly," before (G)I-DLE launched in May 2018. Within the group she took on songwriting and production largely out of necessity when the act lacked a debut track, and she has since written and produced most of (G)I-DLE's lead singles while shaping their concepts, visuals, and storytelling. Her first solo EP, Windy, arrived on July 5, 2021, with "Beam Beam" as its lead single, and earned her a music-program trophy that month. Beyond her own group she has produced for other artists, including P NATION's girl group Baby DONT Cry, and in January 2024 she was promoted to full membership in the Korea Music Copyright Association. She is regarded as one of the most prominent idol-producers of K-pop's fourth generation.
