Chaeyoung is a South Korean singer, rapper, and songwriter under JYP Entertainment, best known as a main rapper of the girl group TWICE, with which she debuted on October 20, 2015 with the EP "The Story Begins." Within TWICE she became one of the most active members in songwriting, earning her first credit with a rap verse on the group's 2016 EP "Page Two" and going on to write lyrics for numerous group songs, later also taking part in composition. She made her solo debut on September 12, 2025 with the full-length album "LIL FANTASY vol.1," writing, composing, and arranging the majority of its ten tracks herself and showcasing a more personal, self-produced creative direction. Known for her artistic and visual sensibilities outside of music as well, Chaeyoung represents the songwriting-driven wing of TWICE. As a third-generation idol, her solo work emphasized her identity as a hands-on creator rather than solely a performer.
