Xdinary Heroes released their ninth mini album, IMPULSE, on October 12, 2026, led by "Obsessed with Youth." The title track is an EDM rock song that opens on dreamy synths and restrained vocals before building to a climax of heavy guitar riffs. Its lyrics hold the highs and the instability of being young side by side. The members took part in writing and composing the title track and several of the album's seven songs, working again with producer Lee Woomin "collapsedone" on the lead single.

Xdinary Heroes is a South Korean rock band formed under Studio J, a sub-label of JYP Entertainment. The band debuted on December 6, 2021, with the single "Happy Death Day," which entered Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart. Its name is a shortened form of "Extraordinary Heroes" and carries the idea that anyone can become a hero. JYP introduced the members one at a time in the weeks before debut, then released teasers revealing each player's instrument, presenting the act as a self-contained band built around guitars, bass, keyboards, synthesizer, and drums. Some of the members had originally trained toward a conventional idol group before the label placed them in a band format. All members take part in writing, composing, and producing the band's music. Xdinary Heroes followed the debut single with a run of extended plays and studio albums, beginning with the extended play Hello, World! in 2022.
