Wonder Girls were a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment, debuting in February 2007 with the single "Irony." The original lineup featured Sunye, Yeeun, Sohee, Sunmi, and Hyuna; Hyuna later departed and Yubin joined as a replacement. The group became one of the defining acts of K-pop's second generation, with the retro-styled hits "Tell Me," "So Hot," and "Nobody" topping Korean charts in 2007 and 2008. In 2009, an English-language version of "Nobody" reached number 76 on the US Billboard Hot 100, making Wonder Girls the first South Korean act to enter that chart. The group later reinvented itself as a self-performing band on the 2015 album "Reboot," with members playing their own instruments on the single "I Feel You." Wonder Girls disbanded in early 2017 after a decade together, and several members, including Sunmi and Yeeun, went on to notable solo careers. The group reunited to perform their hits in 2024.
