Ryeowook, born Kim Ryeowook in 1987, is a South Korean singer and the main vocalist of the boy group Super Junior, which debuted in 2005 under SM Entertainment and became one of the most successful groups of K-pop's second generation. Within Super Junior he is also a member of the ballad-focused subunit Super Junior-K.R.Y., alongside Yesung and Kyuhyun. He made his solo debut in January 2016 with the mini album "The Little Prince," and has since released a steady run of mini albums centered on his vocals. His solo catalog leans on ballads and mid-tempo pop, a softer and more vocal-driven sound than Super Junior's brighter group material. As one of the lead voices of a long-running second-generation group and a soloist in his own right, Ryeowook is known for the clarity and control of his vocal performances.
