Purple Kiss are a South Korean girl group formed by RBW. After two pre-debut digital singles in late 2020 and early 2021, they debuted on March 15, 2021 with the EP Into Violet and its title track "Ponzona." The debut lineup featured seven members, including Goeun, Dosie, Ireh, Yuki, Chaein, and Swan. The group name pairs "purple," presented as a color made by blending others, with "kiss" as a symbol of love, reflecting the idea of distinct member personalities combining into one sound. Purple Kiss became known for darker, theatrical concepts and self-written and self-produced contributions from several members. Park Jieun departed the group in November 2022. As a fourth-generation act, Purple Kiss are part of RBW's roster alongside the agency's other groups, and they have released a series of EPs exploring atmospheric, concept-driven pop.
