NCT DREAM is a boy group formed by SM Entertainment as a sub-unit of the larger NCT project, debuting on August 25, 2016 with the single "Chewing Gum." Originally conceived as a rotating teenage unit with a graduation system, the group was restructured in 2020 into a fixed seven-member lineup of Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung. Their 2021 studio album "Hot Sauce" marked their return as a full seven-member group and became a major commercial success, selling over a million copies and beginning a run of high-selling releases. Known for bright, energetic concepts that have matured alongside the members, NCT DREAM built a large international fanbase and toured widely. As one of the most commercially successful NCT sub-units, the group has been a consistent presence at the top of the South Korean sales charts. They are regarded among the leading boy groups associated with K-pop's third generation.
