About MOMOLAND

Momoland were a South Korean girl group formed by MLD Entertainment through the 2016 reality show Finding Momoland. The original lineup of Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy debuted on November 10, 2016 with the EP "Welcome to Momoland." Daisy and Taeha joined in 2017, expanding the group to nine members. Momoland achieved a major breakthrough in January 2018 with the EP "Great!" and its viral single "Bboom Bboom," a brassy, retro dance track that became a global hit and was followed by the similarly successful "Baam." The group's bright, high-energy pop sound made them one of the more recognizable third-generation acts in the late 2010s, with particular popularity across Southeast Asia and Latin America. The group also pursued the Japanese market with Japanese-language releases and remained especially popular across Southeast Asia and Latin America through the late 2010s. After several lineup changes, Momoland disbanded in February 2023. In 2025, several former members signed with a new agency and resumed group activities together.
