ILLIT released their fourth mini album, Mamihlapinatapai, on April 30, 2026, with "It's Me" as the title track. "It's Me" is a fast-paced, techno-influenced song about confidently defining a relationship, marking a bolder turn for the group. The album title comes from a Yaghan word for a wordless moment between two people who each wait for the other to act. ILLIT debuted in 2024 under BELIFT LAB.

ILLIT is a five-member girl group under Belift Lab, a HYBE sub-label. The members, Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha, were assembled through the 2023 survival competition program "R U Next?" and debuted on March 25, 2024 with the EP "Super Real Me." Its lead single "Magnetic" became a breakout success, topping South Korea's Circle Digital Chart and charting widely overseas. "Magnetic" made ILLIT the fastest K-pop act to appear on the US Billboard Hot 100 at the time and the first K-pop group to place a debut single on the UK Official Singles Chart. The group's sound and styling lean toward a soft, youthful pop aesthetic that helped them connect quickly with a young international audience. With members from both South Korea and Japan, ILLIT were built with cross-market appeal in mind. Despite debuting recently, they have accumulated strong streaming numbers and chart credentials, placing them among the notable girl groups of K-pop's fifth generation.
