The song is an R&B and soul-based track that layers guitar tones over a restrained rhythm and his smooth vocals, using the guitar as an emotional voice for the chemistry between two people. PENOMECO co-wrote the lyrics. Across five tracks the EP moves through the band-leaning "Sing It Loud," the acoustic "Dancing Party," the funky "Don't You," and the ballad "Dear." It is the EXO member's first physical release in about a year.

D.O. is the stage name of Doh Kyung-soo, a South Korean singer and actor who debuted in 2012 as a member of EXO under SM Entertainment.
