DAY6 is a South Korean band formed by JYP Entertainment, debuting on September 7, 2015. They are a true performing band, with members playing guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums and writing much of their own material, which sets them apart from the dance-centered idol groups common in K-pop. Their sound draws on pop rock, alternative, and emotional balladry, and they built a reputation as one of the strongest live acts of their generation. Signature songs include "Congratulations," "You Were Beautiful," "Shoot Me," "Time of Our Life," and the widely embraced "Zombie." The group has toured internationally and released music in both Korean and Japanese, sustaining a loyal following drawn to their songwriting and musicianship. Members have also pursued solo work and the subunit Even of Day. Their fandom is named My Day. DAY6 is among the most respected band acts to emerge from K-pop's third generation.
